Terminator 3
Version 0001
Story: Self-aware robots (machines with Artificial Intelligence) will have overtaken planet Earth in future. Now (when the movie action takes place) 2 of these robots travel back in time: one robot (superior model TX:

(TX with skin)

(TX without skin)
played by an obscure actress, whose only talent and skill is "having blond hair") goes back in time to kill humans, who are active in future in fight with robots and second robot (inferior model T-800 played by Arnold Schwarzenegger) travels back in time to protect 2 of these humans: John Connor - the future leader of the anti-robot resistance movement/human army, and his future wife. T-800 was programmed in future by John's wife, after he has been killed by this T-800, due to mistake related to emotional attachment to this model of robot (resulting from his experiences in childhood depicted in "Terminator 2" movie).
John Connor hopes that "Judgement Day" - i.e. time when artificial inteligence called "Skynet" becomes self-aware and launches massive nuclear attack on humans - can be avoided by destroying the core of the "Skynet". At the end of the movie it comes out, that there is no core - that "Skynet" is a distributed software that runs in many computers/servers in the world - it cannot be destroyed. Thus conclusion of the movie is that it was all along an unevitable, that machines (Artificial Intelligence, robots) will take over this world. John Connor and his wife escape from TX with help of T-800, who uses detonation of his power cell to destroy himself and TX. Without T-800 John Connor and his wife would be killed by TX.
corporations, despite the law, are secretly cloning humans.

Genetic Engineering in Terminator 3 movie:
Genetic Engineering on humans is not carried out in the movie, but TX has a DNA analysis sensor and software built-in, together with database of DNA samples to find targets to kill. TX licks blood of given person and through DNA analysis is able to recognize IMMEDIATELY (nowadays it takes a lot of time) to find out whose blood it is. One of scenes, that demonstrates this DNA analysis is presented below in pictures.
Comment:
The movie is quite realistic - after all technological progress that takes place in computer world is huge, while humans are not developing themselves (due to moral doubts regarding genetic engineering). So it looks that it is inevitable that machines (artificial intelligence, robots) will take over the world one day... unless humanity will start using genetic engineering to develop news traits, to defend itself from machines! This movie fails to present genetic engineering as a solution to the problem
of unstoppable progress in computer world.

At first TX looks on the floor and finds a bandage with blood (internal view of TX presented):
Then TX is "licking" the blood to analyze it:
Then we can see DNA analysis running (text "ANALYZING DNA SAMPLE" in the internal view of TX):
And at last the DNA database is checked by software of TX and we can observe that it finds out whose blood is it:
This movie indicates indirectly, that improving mankind through genetic engineering could be THE ONLY defense against machines, because it is shown, that TX can control other machines! If humans will start enhancing themselves cybernetically, not their genetic makeup, then other machines can take control over humans by taking control over these cybernetic enhancements, but improving humanity with genetic engineering would prevent it.
