Story: Due to blow up of special bomb all computers in USA were destroyed, and USA has ceased therefore to be a dominating empire on this planet. We have year 2009 and the hero of these series, an attractive Latino girl of name "Max" is a genetically engineered soldier, who escaped from military facilities, and struggles in reality, where genetic engineering is practiced on humans.  

About title: Dark Angel refers to the main hero - she is visually attractive "angel" but with super-killer skills (therefore "dark"), which come not from mother nature but from genetic engineering.

Comment: Well, James Cameron - the director, created a TV series, where low-budget special effects, attractive main girlish hero and apocalyptic vision of future are means to produce a lot of action and fun. However this is worthwhile to mention, that in these TV series, human genetic engineering is one of major elements of our reality, what will CERTAINLY happen in near future. If you like fun and action and by they way you would like to get some snippets related to genetic engineering then you will enjoy these TV series.
